Introduction

HUBER & RANNER's EDS is engineered to maximize energy efficiency and reduce operating costs in HVAC systems. EDS leverages the temperature differential between exhaust air and fresh supply air, cutting down on fresh air energy input requirements by up to 35%. This can significantly reduce HVAC operational costs, providing a quick return on investment.

EDS solutions are entirely modular, capable of supporting simple 1-to-1 energy recovery installations as well as complex many-to-many configurations. Its intelligent hydraulic control module (Energy Distribution Centre, EDC) continuously monitors system performance, optimizing heat transfer media flow rates to achieve optimal recovery. With special counterflow heat exchanger coils, EDS is designed for high-performance applications, including pharmaceutical factories, hospitals, cleanrooms, and research laboratories. Optional adiabatic humidification and 3-coil integration extend its versatility, making it the ideal choice for energy-efficient HVAC solutions.

Optional humidification on the exhaust air side further increases energy recovery during summer conditions, enhancing cooling efficiency of the system.

3-Coil Integration for Enhanced Performance

KVS systems can be equipped with a 3-coil configuration featuring both a cooling and heating coil in the supply air stream. This solution uses waste energy to satisfy both pre-cooling, dehumidification, and re-heating demands, optimizing both summer and winter operations.
